The Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic has reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. The Serbian number one of the ranking list defeated the South African star Kevin Anderson in the final fifth set, played on Tuesday, by 7-5. Monday night the match was stopped at 2-2 due to bad light.
In the final fifth set was Djokovic after forty minutes came too strong for the number fourteen of the world, so the final score was 6-7 (6) 6-7 (6) 6-1 6-4 7-5. In the deciding set there went the long standoff between ‘Nole’ and the service gun Anderson, who hit a whopping forty aces throughout the match. In the fourth game Anderson got two break points, but he could not make them count. The fight was exciting: when Djokovic after a nerve-racking game kept his service and came at 3-3, he clenched fist expressed his relief. Only at 5-5 the match tilted in favor of Djokovic. Precisely at that decisive moment Anderson left his service down. He hit two double faults in a row. The tennis player from Johannesburg then let himself be surprised by a drop shot to break for Djokovic.
