Wimbledon 2015: Roger Federer Reached Semifinals With Ease

Roger Federer has qualified for the semi-finals of Wimbledon on Wednesday. The Swiss defeated the Frenchman Gilles Simon in three sets (6-3, 7-5 and 6-2).

Federer was strong especially on his own service and Simon had no chance in the match that was interrupted several times due to rain. The only blemish was perhaps that Simon brought an end to a long series of service games won by the world number 2. Simon converted a break point in the tenth game of the second set and led 5-5. Federer then broke back immediately and hit the set with three aces. The third set seemed a formality. Federer had his service quite in order again and with superior nonchalance he accomplished the victory.The Swiss won the match in only 94 minutes and right on course for his eighth Wimbledon title. In the semifinals, Federer will play against another favorite Andy Murray.
